Yesterday I got a chance to escape {sans kids} to the craft store. [Thanks, KyKy!] I have been wanting to get some new fabric to back this shadow box. I have had this shadow box since I was a little girl. I think my parents got it at a garage sale? I believe it was yellow when we got it... and my dad was so sweet to paint it PINK for me. :) I used to display all my knick-knacks: unicorns, lambs & whatever else. At some point I painted it white. A few years ago I thought to back it with some fabric to make it "pop" more from the wall... but when we moved last year, the fabric blended too much with the wall in its new spot. So... yesterday I set out to get something with a little more "pop". I think this red & gold damask will do the trick! I have silver frames with black & white photos of our 3 kids + our precious nieces & nephews and also all of our silver baby cups on display.
While I was out, I also picked up these...
