Today, sadly, we are purchasing a new AC, furnace & humidifier, to replace this ol' gem. The mighty "Achiever 9" is done achieving, after what appeared to be more than 20 years of service. We believe it is the original AC for this old house. So, although it'll be exciting to see some new machinery & increase efficiency, etc. ... let's not kid ourselves. It's not a fun way to spend the money. So today I'm pretending I get to put the money towards more fun & pretty things like these:
•I'd get a boatload of these ADORABLE liners. Can't you just see 4th of July Cupcakes with blue icing or some Blueberry muffins in these ... from Cupcake Social.
• Some beautiful material just to make stuff with. Pillows, maybe dining room seat covers... from Material Girl's Shoppe.
• This fabulous handforged steel candle chandelier. I LOVE the design, I just LOVE IT ... from Bacon Square Farm.
• I'd get a necklace or 2 from this shop. I love flowers, red & pink. This would perk up my summer wardrobe ... from Femme Petal.
• And as long as I'll be spending thousands of dollars, in my pretend world I would get this, too. Travertine marble top, and don't those chairs look soooo comfortable? ... from Ballard Designs.

Oh & I bought pizza for the workers. They were very appreciative & told me it was only like the 2nd time in 5 years that someone bought them lunch. So, that was a fun purchase ... in a warm fuzzy sort of way. :)

After Davis's comments, we are putting in a new driveway---also not a "fun" way to spend $$
so sorry you can buy all those items! it stinks you need to be comfortable in your home when it's 90's out. i personally would much rather be sitting on one of those chairs with a beautiful necklace on while eating a blue covered cupcake! ;)
