A couple weeks ago Kyle had some time off... and he put it towards creating some childhood memories for our children. He set up camp in the backyard. We lit the chiminea, had s'mores ... then the boys headed to their campsite, while Libby & I headed indoors. The boys told stories, read stories, listened to the sound at night & then finally went to sleep. I was expecting to hear some footsteps & voices trickle in in the wee hours of the morning, but they camped out all night long. First thing Libby said when she woke up was "Nint". So we put her shoes on & she raced to go join in on the last bit of tent ["Nint"] fun. My kids are so lucky to have a dad with such a sense of adventure; and a dad who thinks of them when he has some time off work. Talk about creating a childhood memory ...
