This week. Wow. Definitely harder to get back into the groove than I thought it would be. Grooves are there for a reason. They're the smooth result from doing things over & over again; you can do them in your sleep. And you don't complain because, well, it's your "normal". It may be exhausting - but you hardly even notice. It all seems easy & natural. That was me up until February 7.
Leaving town for a week {& no kids} was nice. Definitely not complaining. But the groove of my same ol' same ol' has now been gone 12 days. About twice as long as my vacation. I can't seem to find it. I think I left my groove on the ship. Maybe I'll call Carnival & see if anybody has turned it into the lost & found.
"Yes, that's right ... my groove. I'm afraid I left it on the ship. It was custom made for me & it's irreplaceable. I need it back. What does it look like? Hmm... hard to describe. But it contains approximately 19 peanut butter & jelly sandwiches a week. About 12 of them have the crusts off. All of them cut on the diagonal. Among hundreds of other things. You'll know it when you see it. There's not another one like it ... it was made just for me. Yes. I said groove. G-R-O-O-V-E."
Well. Maybe I'll wait 'til Monday. See if it turns up over the weekend ... then I'll call.
Hope you {and I} have a groovy weekend. This week exhausted me. But I'd still rather be here. Than there. :)

I've never understood how people could go to work the day after a vacation. . .I always need time to "wind up" again.
Rachel, love it...thanks for sharing. And no worries: Your groove is there; it's probably just under the couch cushion or something and you'll find it in due time. :)
how am i missing your posts?? i totally think your groove took and extended vacation. lol. but based on your more recent post...it's back and ready to "groove"!
