So far, this summer has been about less about getting cREaTe orders & more about getting order in the house. :) It's nice when you get on those kinds of kicks - & they're fun; not a chore. It gets to be a little addicting. Especially when you pair it with successful trips to the thrift store. Or in the case of these photos above, successful trips to Hobby Lobby where I found an aisle of framed artwork 80% off. With a little careful dismantling, I had a quality frame for the price I would have never gotten it for had it not come with artwork in it. As you can tell in the first photo, a piece of the framed artwork was already loose.
The first frame is about 2.5 feet x 1.5 feet. The poster was an odd size & luckily, so was the frame. The second frame is about 22 inches x 18 inches. Big enough for an 8x10 photo + the mat. Both frames are nearly 2-3 inches thick = HEAVY. You should have seen me carrying these 2 cumbersome frames and a 3 feet x 5 feet sheet of red mat board. All while herding my 3 kids out of the store as severe weather rolled in while we were checking out. Do not underestimate the powers of a stay-at-home mom in the summer time.
More projects & thrift store finds SOON! :)
