Studio * Work in Progress

My lastest art project was my STUDIO. I was trying to make it more fun, bright & inspiring... and a little less basement, dungeon, & cob-webby. Hanging things on the wall is NOT an option because the walls are cement block. [Bummer] But a few weeks ago I saw 1 little photo in a catalog of an office that had a wall with huge black & white swirls [wallpaper] & within 15 minutes I had green ones on my walls. :) How did I decide where a swirl went you ask? Since I did this on a whim & didn't prep the walls... I started one wherever there wasn't a cob web. Pretty much as simple as that. It's sort of a "anything goes" space, but that's sort of the nature of the beast. An artist's studio is never really neat, tidy & organized. Everything needs to be visible & accessible so the key is doing it with S*T*Y*L*E. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to open up a "present" from my 4 year old. [a fleece blanket covering up a basket that has toys in it]
