Bloom - Cape Girardeau, MO

My last trip to St.Louis also included a quick trip down to Cape Girardeau to see one of my dear college friends, meet her adorable smiley new baby, and also make a *business trip to Bloom Studio & Gifts. [*makes a stay at home mom feel cool to say that] :)

Bloom is just adorable. Aren't we a good match with our black, white, green, red/pink, flowers & dots? That was just a coincidence (great minds think alike). My friend Maria knew we'd be a good match & helped me get into her friend Carrie's store almost 3 years ago.

Carrie, the owner/designer, just has impeccable taste... choosing all things that make you feel happy, pampered, sophisticated & girly. She's moved into a store 3x the size of the store I originally saw my first 2 trips to see her.

My friend Maria promised me that the boys would have a place to doodle while she & I looked around (she's a good friend of Carrie's & stops by the store often)... and as you can see they had a ball. (Carrie - do I owe you a new pack of Sidewalk Chalk?) The photo of the boys on the chalkboard is Bloom's back work room with a huge banquet table - even the back room is CUTE. (check out that light fixture!)

Baby Sonnie did well, but Libby wanted to get out & check out all the girliness. [Not a chance, chicky! Looks like your brothers did enough damage.]

I dropped off a few new canvases, one of which sold just a few days after getting displayed. And the lady wanted to order 1 more just like it! So I'll be sending that down to Bloom soon, along with a few new ones to take its place. I love it because Carrie tells me the bolder, the brighter, the better... so I often get to try out new colors.

Her store is just a wonderland of cuteness. It's just a little shop of heaven. I am so honored that she's invited cREaTe into her store the past 3 years. One of her purposes for the store is to give artisans, like myself, a chance to "Bloom". THANK YOU!

that quote canvas is awesome! Have you thought of using that quote for a baby gift?
