Little Smocked Dress

I adore smocked dresses.

My sisters & I grew up wearing them as our "special" dresses... for church, Easter, Christmas, etc. Here I am wearing a couple that I had.

On the left, it's Christmas & on the right, it's my 3rd Birthday. If you think I look lonely on my Birthday, it's because my mommy & daddy were at the hospital having my baby sister, Leah. She was born the day before my Birthday! :) But my grandma still took pics, got me dressed up, got out the party hats, balloons & a cake. (I'm sure my mom had something to do with that, too) :) My mom has saved a lot of my good quality (handmade, Chocolate Soup, etc.) dresses & I think I have 1 or 2 of these upstairs in Libby's room, waiting for her to wear them. Smocked dresses are so beautiful, sweet & timeless.

Here are 2 of 3 of my kids in some smocking... on the left is Davis all dressed up for his Aunt Leah's wedding. On the right is Libby in an adorable lady bug smocked dress we got as a gift. Looks like Brett got left out of the smocked fun. Somehow I know I'm not going to put him in a Size 7 smocked shortall. So Brett honey, I'm sorry. Looks like you missed the boat.

I'll be promoting Etsy more & more... I've been seriously contemplating closing up shop on my own site & concentrating fully on Etsy. I'm giving it a month or two to see how cREaTe does there (2nd attempt)... so I'll let you know.
