As I mentioned in my previous post, I just had to buy Libby the Ecru Rosebud Smocked Dress from "For the Love of Smocking". I had sent the owner & dressmaker, Jean, a message telling her I put a link in my blog & she wrote back and was soooo sweet! She admitted the dress I painted & the dress I saw in her shop had an "uncanny" resemblance. So that & the fact she was so sweet made me want to order it right away. It was meant to be. :)I got it in the mail yesterday, all wrapped up in tissue paper & ribbon. And the dress ... is ... beautiful. I am in awe of her work. {Click on photos for an enlarged view} Libby couldn't wait to get in it. She turns 18 months old in 2 days, but is already super girly. She saw me hold up the dress & started tugging at her shirt to take it off. (Don't worry Dana, it wasn't yours!) :) She was so excited & looked absolutely darling in it. I will have to get her another... this one's pretty cute! :)
