Tweaks & Techniques

I've been working on my photog skills... having good, quality, well-lit photos is KEY to selling anything over the internet! I've been pretty lax about my photo work... I give myself pats on the back just for getting the artwork done. (Never mind taking the time to do a photo shoot & tweak the photos!)

But competition is tough there on Etsy... and you have to put your best foot forward. I don't have Photoshop [drat!] ... but I have been using Picnik. It ROCKS. You upload your photos... after which you can rotate, straigten, brighten, darken, warm the colors, cool the colors, crop & sharpen (did I miss anything?). Love it, love it, love it.

I spent a bulk of my free time yesterday doing photoshoots, uploading them to Picnik, then swapping out the bad photos for the new, clean, crisp ones that I have on Etsy & Flickr. WOW. What a difference [even if I do say so myself]!!!! I heart Picnik!!!
