Don't mind the cobwebs on my blog... I'm about to do some tidying up & updating around here & on Etsy!
A couple months ago, I got some orders for some portraits which kept me busy for awhile. I love doing these, but they are definitely a challenge. Part of that challenge is actually just finding the large blocks of time needed to make progress. When you are painting a portrait of something, there is always more to it, than what meets the eye. There are surprises that are discovered after hours of staring at the same photo. The portraits definitely take time & concentration ... which just requires the perfect setting. Quiet & little interruptions. :D (hee hee) But during some late nights, nap & rest times, I was able to finish.
I loved doing each one of these, but my favorite was the painting of the church. I just loved the architectural details including the rosette window. These were all given as Christmas gifts, so I didn't want to reveal the finished product until now! But without further ado...

Beautiful! I hope the recipients love theirs as much as we love our portrait. You did a great job on the church.
