I've been blessed [or cursed] with the ability to think I can do anything. If I don't know how, I research in books or I do a quick search on the internet. But usually, I just WING IT. I love a challenge. I usually do it in such haste, too, that it's done before I even realize it. And then I usually hope I never have to do it again, because I didn't even know how to do it the 1st time.
Last week I decided to go ahead & attempt to reupholster the chairs. I thought it would help my space seem cozier & more like home. I ran out of time & only wound up doing 1. But, I was happy with the results. I didn't know what I was doing at all. I just started to undo ... and went from there [that happens a lot, right mom?] .
Cost of chairs = $10 a piece [neighbor's yard sale this past summer]
Cost of fabric = clearance $5 a yard
Cost of braid/trim = $1.29 a yard
Finished result = adorable little chair that is soooo me. Brown. Lime green. Polka dot. Corduroy. And of course I get the added bonus of adding another notch on my cREaTive belt. :) So fun. Don't be afraid to just WING IT.
More photos coming soon!
