Flower Corsage ...

Last week while hopping from blog to blog, I found an amazing tutorial for a flower corsage. It looked fairly easy, so I bought the required materials:  fabric, pins & beads.  It took me much longer to make than I had originally thought ... so I only had time to make the one I was making as a gift for someone.  That's not to say it was hard, just took me longer than the time I had allotted.  But I loved the way it turned out. I've been obsessed with flower corsages for awhile.  I just love that you can add it to any outfit & add glamour in an instant.  Plus, I'm just a sucker for ruffles & flowers.  Soon I'll make one for myself with the green beads ... and I think it'd be fun to make one to wear on the 4th of July if I have time!

Here is the link to a tutorial with photos.  I found it really helpful.  Oh & my largest circle was about 5 inches in diameter (instead of the 3 inches shown in the photo tutorial).  Also ... my needle was too thick for the beads, so once I'd pull the thread through, i'd temporarily take off the needle  & just thread the bead on, then would replace the needle.  Those are my the only 2 helpful hints I have to offer.  Anyone else going to try it?  {Thank you Still Dottie for the fun tutorial!}

I'm thinking this would be a great way to use broken strands of beads. Wouldn't that pin look cute even on a sun hat?
