Guess what? YES [you totally guessed it]. Cuisinart must have gotten my waiver & my check for $6. And now we're back in the smoothie, shake & iced coffee making business.
This afternoon I met my sister and best friend [with all our kids] at a local children's farm. I packed Capri-suns for the "over 4 months & under 32" crowd. For the over 32 crowd, I brought a thermos full of an iced blended coffee drink [with 3 sets of cups, lids & straws]. Here's how I made it:
•about 2 cups of coffee
•Mix with about 1 cup of milk, 1 cup of chocolate syrup, what looked like about 1/4 cup of sugar & a splash of vanilla [1 tsp?].
•Chill in fridge a bit
•When ready to serve [and it's chilled a bit] put in blender & blend with about 4 cups of ice?
OMG. YUM. By the way ... that made a lot. If it's just you, I'd cut it in 1/2. Sorry for all the splashes & guesstimates. :) But I think it's all really just a matter of personal taste, too. I think it's my new refreshing summer afternoon drink.
And since we were on the topic ... here are just a handful of cute pics from today.

1 CUP of Chocolate syrup?! Surely you meant a quarter cup!
nope, just keep squeezing! :) i of course didn't measure ... but i think a cup is about right? it's hard to tell when it's disappearing into the coffee. hmm... maybe i should make it again.
