My friend Nikki asked me to do a wine bottle canvas for her to give as a wedding gift. She gave me the couple's website to go to for 'inspiration' ... and I was glad she did. I usually just do a generic fleur-de-lis or grapes on the wine bottle label [just as decoration], but on the couple's site they talked a lot about a symbol that they had used on their invitations, etc. The Koru. It symbolizes new life. Such a cool, yet simple design ... it was perfect.

Rachel - I love it! And, I know Carrie & Brendan will love it too. I love that you included the koru - great idea! And, that will make it even more special for them. Their wedding is this weekend - they randomly met in a bar in Denver - he's from New Zealand & she's from CO. Talk about a long distance relationship. It's amazing they were able to make it work & now are getting married. I think they'll love your painting! Thanks so much!
