Smell the Roses ...

It's funny.

It occurred to me that as much as I am enjoying all the signs of fall every where I look ... I can't bring myself to buy any gorgeous fall mums. I adore the colors that they come in [plum, vibrant yellow, rust], but my roses and geraniums are still thoroughly enjoying themselves. Soon they won't be here. We all know this. Yet they are continuing to produce new buds, squeezing every bit of beautiful life out of themselves until winter sets in. I've decided I am not going to rush or replace them. I'm going to smell the roses by enjoying what I have.
