This MADE ... my day. :)
Went to the blog MADE & saw that Dana's sewing studio had been featured on a blog, Visible Voice. It's sort of a weird, crazy, exciting feeling to see something that you made in some gorgeous photos from someone else's interview. And to be part of their inspirational, creative space? Pretty surreal. Totally caught me off guard. And then I was even more caught off guard reading that she mentioned me & my Etsy shop. Again, left me with the feeling of ... "Huh? Who? Me?"
She & I did a trade this summer ... me getting to score the awesome yellow & red Mercado Skirt. She selected the Abraham Lincoln Quote Canvas [turquoise & orange] ... and I made a silly made up quote for her on canvas paper. It was just a bonus item ... because she included bonus items in my packages [hair clips!] & I'm an even-Steven kind of girl. :) Just something small I thought she could pin up on a bulletin board or something ... little did I know she'd make it look so fabulous. But then again ... knowing who I'm dealing with here, I should have known. She is the winner, after all, of the creative blog competition "So You Think You're Crafty".
As I explained to Dana ... it's not often that I get to see my artwork hanging in people's homes. And to see it displayed so beautifully & prominently in her work space seriously MADE my day.
