My cREaTive Boys

Brett & Davis coloring August 2005.
I certainly don't force art on my children... but I give them plenty of opportunities to let their creativity blossom. :)

Although we have thousands of coloring books, my favorite (& theirs) is just blank paper. I like it because it allows your imagination to pour out instead of just mindlessly coloring in the lines.

Brett & Davis both definitely have a creative streak. I remember an old next door neighbor of mine couldn't believe my boys enjoyed sidewalk chalk. Her's raced around with trucks & power wheels while mine colored. Again, it is nothing I force on them... but it does make me happy when I see the interest is there. :) They even like to draw different things. Brett prefers animals (he loves snakes), people & scenes, whereas Davis loves drawing machines & inventions. His machines are actually pretty clever... I'll have to show you some one day!

I just want to squeeze those cheeks! I emphatically agree that blank paper is the best.

I only wish I'd let you occasionally have real blank paper instead of McDonnell-Douglas's recycled paper.

I suppose there are color copy machines these days.
