Today is Autism Awareness Day ... also the start of my fundraiser, cREaTing Awareness in honor of my son Brett. For the story of why I started this, read here.

All proceeds from the sales in this section of my shop [cREaTing Awareness] will go to our favorite local non-profit organization, F.I.R.E. It stands for the Foundation for Inclusive Religious Education ... and is what helps give grants to our local Catholic schools making it easier for children with special needs of all kinds [including Autism as in our case] to attend their local parish schools. It is a rarity as far as Catholic schools go [across the entire nation] & I can't imagine what we would do without it.

I have cREaTed special canvases with quotes on diversity, adversity, acceptance & hope. And for the first time I am also offering prints with the same theme. Begins today & will end when I run out of the items from that section of my shop.

I'd love to know if you have a favorite ... and why. I'll start. Mine's the André Gide quote & I'll write more about why another day. :)
