We're there ...

We are in that bittersweet time ... that the basement remodeling project is wrapping up, but someone else is starting to pack up.  This past weekend I sanded, primed, sanded [again] & painted all the wood that is getting used to build our staircase in the basement.  They are here now building it & it's going to be absolutely beautiful.  I am excited for all the work to be over.  But as the workers carry all the wood up & down to make all the right cuts, I am wiping some tears & hoping the lump in my throat goes away before they ask me a question.  This morning a groggy little 6 year old woke up & asked if today was the day dad left for his "long trip".  Luckily, this morning I got to tell him "no". But it was definitely bittersweet knowing soon I will have to look into those concerned eyes & say "yes".  So.  I don't anticipate having a lot to say between now & then ... but soon my new studio will be all set up & production will start up again.  :)  And we will gladly take any spare prayers in the mean time.

I've been thinking about you and your family lately.
I will be praying for y'all. We miss you here in blogville, but family is first and we are just here for smiles and sharing.

I know you've said before that this is the worst period of time---the anticipation of the anxiety of the deployment. You've been in a lot of prayers already. . .
