Get moving ...

Things are moving at the new pace of my sweet little niece Anna.  :)  A slow crawl.  Her crawl was delayed ... and so at 12 months old, has had some physical therapy sessions to get her moving & get her joints & muscles prepared for this new movement.  And as always, the rewards are so much sweeter if you have to work for them.  This past week while visiting in St. Louis, we got to witness her spreading her little wings.  She went from crawling just a few feet, to crawling into another room, making a lap & going back to the room she was previously in.  The best part of it all was her adorable little giggle as she did it.  She was so incredibly proud of herself & happy with her new freedom, it was so awesome to see & hear that.  We all couldn't help but cheer her on & at times crawl alongside of her.  Oh she's so adorable.  We love you Anna & are so proud of you.

So now that Christmas is over ... I have luggage & clothes x 4, new toys x 4, gift wrap & decorations to put away.  It is 1:00 pm & we all still have our pajamas on. :)  We haven't had lunch ... but seeing that I planned to go out for pizza before our favorite pizza place gets crowded, I think we'll just snack our way through the belated lunch hour.  No big plans for tonight ... I know it's the end of 2010, but I truly don't feel like our New Year's celebration is until 2 weeks from now when Kyle gets home from his 2 1/2 month deployment.  I sort of feel like we're on hold 'til then.  We're at the point where everything we're doing now is in preparation for that [YAY!].  So much to do between now & then: getting the house ready, putting all of Christmas 2010 away and finishing up projects I had saved up for this deployment [can you say "lofty" & "I thought I'd have time on my hands"?].  None of that will happen as long as I have a keyboard attached to my finger tips.  So I am signing off  [after spending all morning working on this new blog header], will get dressed & ... will finally get moving.  Hopefully I'll have as much fun as Anna does when she does it.  :)  Bye bye 2010!
