Happy December ...

I finally got to work.  :)  I turned up my Christmas CDs & got in the groove.  I worked for 2 days & finished 10 items.  I have 2 more on the workbench waiting to be finished ... but today's my day I set aside for appointments [eye doctor & cable guy = check], errands [grocery store = check], important phone calls [drip in a PVC pipe going to the furnace = still a to-do] & taking care of the clerical work for my Etsy shop [uploading photos & listing all the new items].

Then.  Tonight the kids & I will decorate for Christmas.  I am taking a few shortcuts this year ... this is the year of the artificial tree.  And instead of going through bins & bins of ornaments ... I grabbed a collection that is put away in its own box.  We might not look as Christmasy as we normally do from the street, but I'll give it my best before my chicken self has to run back inside to the heated home.

But I'll build a fire, we'll have hot chocolate with peppermint oreos & we'll turn this place into a Twenter Wonderland the best that we can - knowing we're already missing one very important component; one that can't be bought, made or brought down from the attic. :)

Know how you feel. Told the girls only one tree, no outside lights and we are doing Shutterfly photo cards. Mommy is cutting corners while Daddy is gone. :) I am sure yours will look BEAUTIFUL! Can't wait to see pictures.

Circle the Wagons---do what you can do, take care of the important things like the kids. I know a 9 year old that is chomping at the bit to put some lights up---give him a couple of strings and let him have a go at it.
