We are gearing up to welcome dad home. Hopefully today. But. There's snow. Everywhere. Where he's at. Where we're at. I am saying a prayer & crossing fingers it's today. The kids don't know. They think it's tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be picking them up early from school & surprising them. I'm sure it doesn't seem like much of a surprise. 1 day less. But to a little kid who hasn't seen their dad in 70 days, 1 day less is a pretty good deal. Everyday, they cross off a day on a countdown calendar. They're counting. I can't wait to see their faces. And his. :)

Rachel-
The strength you have shown during this time is amazing! We, as American's are so fortunate for people like Kyle. However sometimes we forget the sacrafices made by the families that are left behind to pick up the pieces when someone is deployed. You shoulder all responsibility at home and on the family front, while keeping a smile on your face for everyone else. You deserve just as much thanks and praise as your wonderful and courageous husband! Thank you Rachel! You and your family is often in my thoughts and prayers!
