I love doing Random Thoughts... it's a good reflection of my life sometimes. :) And in honor of my 4th "Random Thoughts" post... I thought I'd give it its own random graphic [as seen above].
- My best friend Karah [of Bella by Karah, aka BBK ] borrowed my lamb cake mold to make a precious puppy cake for her maltese, "Hootie", who turned the ripe old age of FOURTEEN this weekend. That's 98 in dog years, which is definitely cause for a celebration! And yes, I remember the Christmas morning so long ago, when Karah & her brother got Hootie! So to learn he turned 14 is crazy. But do you want to know something crazier? About 20 years ago Karah & I used that lamb cake mold... for my 12th Birthday. Karah & I decorated the lamb cake with sprinkles, gel, icing & candy... and being 12 we put boogers in the nose. I have pictures... but I can't find them right now. Not sure I'd share them with you after I gave it the once-over anyway, because I know I have a side pony tail & it's just not the most flattering picture. But here is Hootie with his cake on his 14th Birthday! Karah e-mailed out photos... and I thought this one was just precious. Happy Birthday Hoots! You don't look a day over 2!
- I love these pictures of Libby. Pictures from left to right: 1) Me catching up on e-mail & blogs. 2) What I saw in the corner of my eye... a tiny copy-cat. 3) Me & Libby laughing at her funny little self.
- Yesterday I made pumpkin muffins... YUM. I'll post the recipe soon. I'll be making another batch in the next couple of days - this time to give away.
- I'll try to not bore you with this story... but you know the red mug I just painted? I was inspired to paint it after I saw a beautiful green one advertised for Dillards (in an old Domino magazine from Nov.2007). I changed the color because I had just painted the green apple & I wanted to use red. So Monday I had an afternoon to myself to SHOP & I went to our Dillards which has recently become a Dillards OUTLET. The place was sort of creepy & deserted... but I got a lot of great bargains. And I saw MY MUG. THE MUG. The exact one that was advertised... what are the chances? And since it was at an outlet... it was 75% off. I took it as a sign that I had to have it... so I paid my $2.00 & now it's MINE. I love it. I think it's beautiful - which is why it caught my eye in the first place & why I ripped it out to paint.
- Project in the works: a house portrait. The brick is complete & the roof has been laid. Next is the trim work, windows, landscaping, etc. Photos coming soon!
- That's enough for 1 day. Besides... Brett got sent home yesterday after throwing up in music class [randomly], so even though he's been 110% since I picked him up yesterday - he's home today. :) So I have to get back to these 2 [pictured below]. oh & FOR THE LOVE OF PETE, Brett, that's your 5th shirt for the day! He's already back in shirt #4, so if it wasn't for this photo I wouldn't have caught him in the ORANGE ONE. I swear we're putting a lock on his closet.

If there's anything you're always full of it's "Random Thoughts." So, happy you've discovered that's a pattern that needs its own logo!
I need one for "conversations-I'm- having-in-my-head-and-then-say- something-out-loud-to-the-puzzlement-of-everyone-around" Hmm. Maybe, I should shorten that to "Random Thoughts"
:-)
